Reply period

You can contact the ombudsman if the authority concerned does not confirm receipt of or handle your complaint on time or if you are dissatisfied with the settlement of your complaint. Municipalities officially have six weeks to handle a complaint. Some municipalities apply a shorter term (four weeks in the case of Rotterdam, for example).
